Van is hit-or-miss in concert (I caught a miss, unfortunately), but that live double-album from the 70s, "It's Too Late to Stop Now," is absolutely one of the best live albums ever.

I don't blame Van, because it's a nice song, but 'Brown-Eyed Girl' is so overplayed it drives me nuts some times.

    Nobody mentioned 'Moonshine Whiskey.'
'... gonna promenade down funky Broadway 'til the cows come home ...'

    I like Van a lot.
On the way in today, I heard Moondance.
I will accept any order for any other songs beyond that.
Moondance HAS to be No. 1.
    Great song.
    Carry on.

I'm not saying you guys are getting old, but Amy Irving is 53 today.

    That is all.

Anybody besides me troubled by the lyrics?

He sees her, "my how you have grown," but then he recalls making love behind the stadium with her.

So, how old was she exactly when the deed took place? Or is he saying something else when referring to her, um, growth?

    Wonderful Remark.

  9. Happy birthday to Van the Man.

BTW - On PTI Tony K said that Into the Mystic was his favorite song. Who knew that Huggy was Tony K and that Tony K was Canadian?

Funny...when I would go out to bars, guys would try to flirt or pick me up by singing Brown Eyed Girl!!!

And I owe it all to Van the Man ;D

Love Van. True story, I knew my wife was my soulmate when I asked her what her favorite song was at the moment (1995) and she said "Someone Like You"; which was exactly my favorite at the time. Poetic Champions Compose is in my top 5 (and I'm not even really Christian)
