Marvin Gaye would've been 73 today. Who can forget his classic rendition?

Yeah, Carl's reditition was priceless.

 

What's Going On again?

Think of his rendition of the Anthem all you wish, but I think of the album Berry Gordy didn't want to release because he thought it might be too controversial.

If "What's Going On" had never been released, the music world would have lost. Big time.

RIP, Mr. Gaye and thank you for some unforgettable contributions.

I thought this was about Leslie Nielsen, but I knew Lt. Drebin had passed away a while ago.

 

I could give fuck-all about the national anthem, but the dudes who did it tonight were god-awful. Wrong notes, wrong pace, wrong phrasing. And just more evidence that that song has no place before an athletic event.

I always thought of them as the Nickelback of soft rock.

 

I thought they were bad too. Their rendition got better as they neared the end but the NCAA really goofed with this quartet.
