    I was fortunate enough to be in NY for this. One of the coolest nights I've ever spent on the road. Meeting Ron was a big part of that. Unfortunately, it was the only time our paths crossed.

    RIP, Conscience of the Sandbox.

    Met Ron once, at the Toronto outing, and he was exactly as I pictured him being. Spent a great hour over a few beers listening to him talk about covering baseball in NYC in the 80s. He'd forgotten more about that game than I will ever know.

    I was in NYC for a few days last summer with the fam and we had exchanged PMs about meeting up for a drink while I was there. I was never able to make it happen and I promised to make it up to him at the Buffalo baseball outing. Sadly, I wasn't able to make that happen either.
