Halloween, kids and co-workers

    True, but a lot of those people working till 9:30 pm came in at noon. If they work Saturday and Sunday, as most of retail does, they have days off on weekdays. Those can be handy for running errands, because many places are not nearly as crowded at 2pm on a Tuesday.

    What I resent is the way people have begun to think they are entitled to do or shop for anything at whatever hours they please, that it's a 24 hour Walmart world. And don't even get me started on Black Friday sales starting at 5pm on Thanksgiving Day.

    You can bet that the people who decided that was a good solid profit-making decision will be at home with their families, dozing in front of a football game, not grinding it out in the store.
