    In which case, a girl's period would be about to start again.

    Ovulation occurs at the halfway point of a woman's cycle, or about 14-16 days after the start of the period.

    And yes, they do count gestation from the start of the last peroid, which is why anywhere up to 42 weeks is considered "normal."

    Means your dates are a month older than you think... For most of us, that's no big deal

  3. Well, you were closer than I was (no surprise), but obviously there's no hard and fast rules.

    Anyway, I thought it was interesting how they count the pregnancy from the last period, even if you are certain of the day you conceived (as it was in my wife's case).

    i don't know about all that. i just hit mrs. petty once a day for a coupla weeks on two different occasions, and bam, a pair of heartbreakers a few years apart.
