Happy Birthday to Michael Jackson. Despite the last 20 years of a personal, downward spiral, your songs changed pop music dramatically.

No doubt, tho it peaked about half his lifetime ago. Has he finished going bankrupt yet?

I don't know. I didn't even read the whole article. I got sidetracked on youtube looking for some of his better, old songs.

I grew up with Michael. He was all that. Too bad he became what he became. But goddamn, that guy could bring it.

    1) Rock With You

    2) Thriller (well-made video)

    3) Billy Jean

    4) Bad

    5) Smooth Criminal

It's hard to come up with a top 5 because "Man in the Mirror" is up there. But Rock With You is his best song by a mile. His smile is genuine. He's happy here. You can't fake that kind of smile and body language.

As much influence as Elvis? The Beatles?

Happy birthday, you fucking crotch-grabbing, kiddie-touching, nose-is-falling-off-my-face weirdo.

I'm just glad you didn't post that on my birthday thread.

I'll add "Dirty Diana" and "Beat It" to Xan's list to replace "Bad" and "Thriller."

I don't know if I'd go that far, but its contributions to pop music can't be denied.

Even if it is a freak.

Those 2 are in the top 10.
