Haitian telethon Friday night

Like it or not celebs equal media coverage. I'd much rather see more of this stuff than cashing a $10,000 check for appearing at a red carpet opening for a club or celebrating a birthday or anniversary at a specific restaurant.
I'd be surprised if Clooney didn't hit everyone up for at least $100k if they wanted to answer phones, another $400k if they recounted some of the stories.
The only time I've seen Darfur discussed on The Situation Room was when Clooney offered to appear on the show. Pretty sad.
