  1. In light of this development, it would seem the U.S. has to go in and topple Assad.

Glad to see there is a great benefit of the doubt given when the claim of having/using chemical weapons is involved. Very consistently, right down the line.

Oh, boy! Another Mideast war! I'm sure we've learned from all of our mistakes in the last three and everything will go just fine.

What was the vote for congressional approval to send troops to Syria?

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Sounds like some are learning from the past.

One almost has to hope that the reason we haven't gone into Syria is because there's intelligence to suggest that the power vacuum that would result would create an even direr humanitarian crisis. But how many times in the past 20 years or so have we been slow to respond to a situation such as this -- genocide, in short -- and come out the other side saying "Never again."

    Now it's happening again.

see, Cheney, DICK and the Boy Who Cried Wolf. The Cheney-Bush regime wrongly got America to declare war on Iraq and now when real WMDs arise in Syria or Korea or Iran, we're frozen to act because of either massive intelligence failures or lies told by the Presidents of the United States

Blaming Bush...haven't heard that before. Saddest part is that you actually believe this crap.
