As of the end of the week, I'm one class closer!

I've had two scopes on the right knee -- one in January of '82 and one in November of '88.

After the first one I was pretty much back to normal in a few days and actually played full-court hoops eight days later.

After the second one, six weeks of painful rehab, had to have it drained once, and then, after the rehab and all the pain, found out the operation didn't take care of the real problem and had to have the knee cut into and a bone spur removed in March of '89.

I expected the second one to be as smooth as the first but have since been told that coming back from a second scope is much more difficult than coming back from the first. Why? I don't know.

But I'll be damned if I really haven't had a problem at all with that knee since, making me very thankful for all the things I've been able to do the last 20 years.

    Still playing full-court hoops?

Sadly, no. But I dream of a day where I can again.

Sorry, man, ain't happenin' :) I just started playing halfcourt hoops again after about a decade and a half off. I consider myself in fairly good shape, but it took me two days to recover from the last set of games.

Yeah but if they have to put stitches in to fix your meniscus and not just take out cartiledge, you will still be on crutches for two weeks. Otherwise it's like 2 days.

Popped a couple Loratabs and slept like a rock.

It's easy to dream when you spend two-thirds of your day asleep.
