According to a Miami TV station, a gunman walked past security at the Miami Herald and is currently in the Miami Herald building.

The newsroom has been evacuated, according to the report.

No ... this is not a joke and here's the scoop off www.wsvn.com .. Web site.

MIAMI -- A security guard reported a subject walked inside the Miami Herald building dressed in camouflage armed, saying he has a problem with the editor. Building has been evacuated and SWAT is on the scene.

Just saw a short developing news blurb on CNN ... Nothing that hasn't already been posted here.

MSNBC is all over it. This is pretty freaky since I used to work there and know many, many people in that building.

Yes, it's definitely strange seeing a former place of employment on TV under these circumstances, although I don't know very many people there anymore.

MSNBC said he had knives and a machine gun, but the Herald managing editor was just on MSNBC and could not confirm that.

    YIKES.

How can they be posting to their website when their building has been taken hostage?

    Hypocricy.

Clearly he's not looking for a high body count ... having chosen the day after Thanksgiving to do it. Will there even be ANY editors there?
