CNN.com is reporting gun shots at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

    WTF is wrong with people.

I think it was just the shuttle simulator backfiring before takeoff.

Either that or Lisa Nowak decided to pay another visit to Colleen Shipman.

  3. Now we know why the BT is the Express.
12 minutes to the Mowak reference.

I, too, was tempted to post a astronaut diaper reference, but not in this case.

    I don't like this news.

I won't begin to project how any of this happened, but I do know that some of the facilities, in an effort to make employees more comfortable, have shooting ranges on site. It is similar to having basketball courts or volleyball courts.

CNN now reporting that every SWAT team member in the City of Houston has been called to the scene, and a bunch of schools in the area have been locked down.

CNN, naturally, is all over this.

One question - They've got news choppers over the site, how isn't the airspace above NASA closed?

April just appears to be a really bad month all around.

It isn't necessary on days when there are no launches.

Aren't launches done in Florida, not Houston?

Launches are in Florida, but landings are in Houston.
