If UConn wins? Cheaters prosper?

 

I have a feeling this line will be worked in somehow.

 

Some other possibilities:

'Hey Gordo, how's riding the pine in Utah feel right now?'

'And Duke and the great Coach K are no longer defending champions.'

 

"A new tradition, unlike any other. Butler wins!"

"UConn see me! Connecticut wins!"

 

You have no idea how much I look forward to this thread every year. It's a guaranteed several dozen laughs for me.

Hmmm. Thinking of one of his other UConn calls... "Just when everybody says U Can't, U CANN!" ... or some such....

Gotta think for awhile. Standby.

If UConn wins: Not sure but I know he will somehow try to incorporate the UConn women into the mix as well because, uhhh, women's basketball matters. They got next.

Long pause.

Still nothing.

"Take that, SJ loosers! UConn is the charmion!"

 

Awesome.

And if it's a close game or a buzzer beater,

'Suck it, Gus Johnson! UConn/Butler at the buzzer!'

 

If UConn wins:
"Even-Stevens can't stop the Huskies! UConn is the national champion."

Butler, and if Matt Howard stars:
"Howard's End: Perfect! Butler is the national champion."

 

"Get some Championships and then come back and see me. UCONN wins."
