    He can still be sentenced to 20 to life, but there's no way to spin this as a success.

    KSM will never see the inside of a courtroom.

    Why is it a failure for the state if a defendant gets 20 to life? The real reason most detainees will never go to trial is that a startling percentage of our political elite and American voters are pathetic disgusting cowards, not because the U.S. can't get guilty verdits.

    Or the reason most detainees will never go to trial in a civilian court is because they will be tried by a military tribunal...as they should be.
