    It's back!

Grab your double double and a box of TimBits. Play some defence. And all hail the Edmonton ... Elks.

I got to watch some of the Hamilton-Winnipeg and Ottawa-Edmonton openers in between boring Olympic coverage, and the CFL is still great entertainment. Where else can you see a 102-yard interception return for a TD that's only the second-longest in franchise history, although perhaps the longest hair in CFL history?

And what's up with the Atlantic Schooners? Adding a team in the Maritimes would be all kinds of awesome. I see you can reserve season tickets on the cfl.ca site IF the team ever gets granted an expansion franchise.

From viewing most -- but not all -- of two games on US TV that Suitor guy needs to go on color and offensive pass blocking is not very good...at least right now as I understand they have not played any pre-season games.

Or games of any kind since November 2019.

Who is predicted to be the best team? And how good is Winnipeg supposed to be? I have decided to be a Blue Bombers fan.

Wow, a CFL thread (that oughta get JR back here full time), these are unprecedented times!

Great win by the Argos at Calgary on Saturday night. As the son of an Argos season ticket holder I followed the CFL pretty closely as a kid and I am glad to see it return, losing another season would have probably spelled the end of the league.

As for the Atlantic Schooners, there has been talk of the CFL in Halifax going back to my days as a kid watching my old man fight with Hamilton fans at Argo games at Exhibition Stadium.

The first time I heard of the proposal was as the lead-in to one of Rick Matsumoto’s CFL previews in the original version of the Street & Smith’s pro football preview.

I wish they’d bring that preview back.

I know! Always thought it was cool to get that every year and, as a Toronto kid, see a CFL preview at the back.

Can't believe my Tiger-Cats haven't won a Grey Cup in this century!

Probably their finest Grey Cup moment was when they defeated the heavily favored Edmonton Eskimos in '86 after Mike Reno sang the national anthem.

Peak Canada was halftime of the 2017 Grey Cup in Ottawa. Shania Twain ... pulled into the stadium by a sled dog team ... escorted to the stage by a Mountie ... performing at halftime of the Grey Cup during a snowstorm.

I caught the couple of CFL games that were on NBC during the NFL strike in 1981 and I've been hooked ever since. I also follow a few guys who played at FSCC that are now in the CFL. One of them almost helped the Lions finish the comeback against the Riders Friday night.

When I was in Clearwater I covered a running back from Dunedin who was too small for the Florida schools to recruit but went on to star at William & Mary
That was back when he was Michael Clemens
He didn’t become Pinball until his CFL days

My best Grey Cup memory was when Harold Ballard wanted to buy the Argonauts and they wouldn't let him. So he bought the Tiger-Cats. When Hamilton reached the Grey Cup, at a pregame parade, there was a float with a big Tiger-Cat on it. And he added a ripped up Argonauts jersey coming out of the Tiger-Cat's ass.

Always had a soft spot for the CFL. It was fun to watch back in the late 1980s. I remember watching Gizmo Williams and being really pumped when he went to the NFL in 1989. I also enjoyed following Flutie when he was starting in the 1990s. The Damon Allen story always seemed cool to me.
