Congrats to Greg, a gentleman and a scholar in every way. The Packer beat in Milwaukee is certainly going to miss him.

Wow. Big loss for the MJS in the middle of the season ... last game will be Vikings-Packers on Oct. 24.

Congrats Greg ... and yeoman's work on the Packers beat. A great writer who connects with his readership.

Pack fan/JS reader here. Bedard was very good, especially on Twitter/radio/etc., which I'm assuming made him all the more attractive. Congrats, Greg.

It seems like just yesterday he was covering preps in Palm Beach.

    Well deserved.

  6. Wow. Greg did a great job in his short time with the MJS. He was outstanding on their web stuff.

He really was. I was a little surprised when they hired him, but he did an outstanding job.

  8. Greg really deserves this. Good guy; good reporter.

Can't wait for Bedard to appear in the newspaper. It'll be nice to have a new writer to read. Any word on when he's starting at the Globe?

I believe he said he's covering Packers-Vikings on Oct. 24 and starting at the Globe the next day.

Many believe the JS won't replace him, although a definitive decision has not been made.

Maybe Lori Nickel will do more multimedia? She does a great job with coverage, IMO.
