I submit the Arkansas Tech Wonderboys and the Southern Arkansas Muleriders.

Stand by for Texas preps. The list will be voluminous.

The Kentucky high school team called the Polar Bears reminded me of the old hockey team in Orlando -- the Solar Bears.

Right up there with the Kentucky Thoroughblades. I also liked the name of Binghamton, N.Y.'s first pro hockey team, the Broome (County) Dusters.

I just caught this -- were they the Superbas and the Nationals at the same time, or does Nationals simply mean Brooklyn's National League team?

The Orlando Solar Bears were in the same league as the Jacksonville Lizard Kings.
