OK, kids. In honor of the asskicking (or monumental upset) to come, what's the best Super Bowl?

In 1991, holding the 49ers and Bills to a combined 32 points in the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl was a miracle.

I hate that asshole Belichick, but Parcells has gotten a big, fat ride on his back.

The Giants controlled nearly 80 minutes of the clock in those two games.

There wasn't so much defense to be played.

But the 49ers and Bills were quick strike offenses. Neither team needed much time to put up points. The Giants defense did a remarkable job in forcing those teams to play ground-it-out football.

FWIW, Gibbs is the one coach Parcells has actually almost sort of admitted might be his superior, at least in my hearing.
Belichick's talent as a coach isn't inventing things. It's taking bits and pieces of the sum of created football knowledge and molding it to what he needs for THIS GAME. Gun goes off, the mold goes in the trash with the ankle tape and he starts over.

It was a tight gameplan almost flawlessly executed by both halves of the team.

Quick-strike offenses still have to find the ball. Eat up the clock, they have fewer chances to burn you.

    Oakland actually "won" that game.
But I understand what you're saying.
    I'm just saying. :)

    The 2002 AFC Championship?

I agree that the Raiders "won" the week before the AFC Championship....

    Yeah, that game.
That's right. Thanks for the clarity.
