No one mentioned Hall and Oates' "Maneater"?! I've also got to give it up for the Duran Duran sax solo on "Rio."

What I have enjoyed the most from doing this thread is Websters hint to look at the 1970s clips of Bruce, that great Blasters pull and listening to that Baker Street song again even though the video does not follow the music at all.

"promised land," but of course! shame on me for leaving it out. could start a new thread for "best harmonica solo in rock," too. :D :D :D

I was thinking about other instruments...

I honestly thought this thread would get more juice.

Indeed, some great stuff on here. Never get tired of those 70s Bruce clips.

Good to see some love for the awesome Blasters, who, for my money, are one of the greatest American rock bands ever.

  6. On the studio recording it was jazz legend Michael Brecker, who's a ringer and is thus disqualified. :D

    Kidding. Nice pull.

Two that haven't been mentioned yet:

"Live With Me," Rolling Stones (Let It Bleed)

"Mercenary Territory," Little Feat (Waiting For Columbus)

Watching it right now on a replay of the Rock & Roll HOF Concert. Can't do better than that.

Check out Sax when Dion does Wanderer at RR HOF - also check out Paul Simon doing backup - really into it.

I haven't picked up a sax in about 20 years. What's the going rate for a good used one these days? Five bills?

Someone mentioned it earlier, but I'll second it. I always liked the end to Bruce's "Goodbye Bobby Jean"
