I'm not that paper's publisher. Last time I checked, blood still runs through my veins and I can walk about during the day.

Personally, unless there was something blatantly false or deceptive, I'd run it. I might ask each and every surviving family member listed if they agreed with it first.

You would take the time to ask each and every family member if they agreed? There are like six siblings listed, not to mention aunts and uncles and kids!
That's a lot fo work for a paid obit.
You are far more dedicated to that than I.

Well, for starters, I'd limit the survivors list to the spouse/partner, kids and siblings. Sorry grandkids, cousins, aunts/uncles, special friends and pets, you're all just a number.
