As a bookend to the shit we have rolling down the other thread, let's present the best visuals to accompany music.

My vote: Beastie Boys and Sabotage.

Haven't seen a music video in many years. That said:

    "Sledgehammer" - Peter Gabriel
"Money For Nothing" - Dire Straits
"You Might Think" - The Cars
"Faithfully" - Journey (for the emotion)
"Hungry Like A Wolf" - Duran Duran
"Cuts Like A Knife" - Bryan Adams (for the smoking hot babe)
"Wicked Game" - Chris Issak (for the smoking hot babe)

To me, the best video ever is "Buddy Holly" by Weezer.

Best concert video (as opposed to live stuff that's bootlegged or something, I remember seeing this one years ago on the Midnight Special and Don Kirshner): "Rosalita" by Springsteen

    Runner up:

    Guns, "Paradise City"

    Winner.

I will never get tired of that video. So inspired, so creative. You just knew, watching that video the first time, that Weezer was going to explode into superstardom with that one.

A personal story: That video was on the MTV Top 20 Video Countdown (yes, back in the day, they played enough videos to have a top 20 countdown!) as I got ready for my first date with my wife. I remember thinking "Holy shit, I really like her. I wonder if..." The exuberance of the song and video perfectly summed up how I felt. I put the song on a mix tape I gave to her shortly thereafter. Hearing the song still brings a smile to my face...and a frown to hers b/c she's stuck with a fucking dickhead!!! :D :D :D

Oh and Huggy for best concert video I'd go with "Once In A Lifetime" by the Talking Heads:

Byrne is completely crazy in this one. The chopping of his arm always cracks me up. "Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it EVER WAAAAAAAAAS."

I love the end: ONCE IN A LIFETYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! then you hear someone scream ABOVE the din of the sold-out crowd. That always impressed the shit out of me.

I'll admit to liking this one as well:

And in the more recent vintage, I always get a kick out of this one:

Some good ones listed on here already, but this will always be my favorite.

My favorite was always Radiohead's "Just."

    I don't feel tardy.

The video for "Take On Me" is still great all these years later. Great call, there.
