Greatest individual performance by a fictional athlete in a movie?

"Back To School." Thornton Melon. Triple Lindy. 'Nuff said.

 

FLOTG was one of those movies I never thought about seeing in a theater or was interested in getting on DVD, but I watched on free TV. (AMC I think). Couldn't believe that was Jena Malone as the daughter.

 

I'd add Happy Gilmore's tour championship performance, especially his putt to win the tour championship, to the list in fourth place behind Steve Nebraska, Bugs Bunny and Thornton Melon.

Don't really have anything to add, except that you all are amazing. I can't think of one you missed.

I love that movie, DO. Don't know why no one ever talks about it. Love the opening monologue by Robin Williams.
