I don't know if these are definitive but ...

Patti Smith's version of Bruce's "Because the Night."

Also, I know it's controversial but I actually like Manfred Mann's version of "Blinded by the Light" over Bruce's.

Although here's a pretty good version from Bruce, complete with horns!

One of my favorite Bruce covers is doing the Crystals' "And Then She Kissed Me," and I only had it on boot until he did this version in St. Louis last year. I cannot imagine what it must have been like to be in that arena and hear the first few notes of this.

And finally, Bruce does Dylan on "I Want You." Love this one, too. No video of it but here's the YouTube version.

Oh yeah, and this is my favorite "Somewhere over the Rainbow" from Iz. It was the one that played at the end of Tim Russert's funeral.

I nominated this one on the previous thread, but a band from Rhode Island, Zox, does a ridiculously awesome version of Canon in D.

    Hmmm, great call!

In that same vein, "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell.

I think Mann's version of Blinded by the LIght is the definitive.

Yeah, even I'll grant you that. Didn't you love that one from "Midnight Special"? Forgot about that show. And those were some kickass '70s duds on there, too.

    Shockey's right about "Hurt."
I really like Goverment Mule's version of "Simple Kind of Man."
And the Roches singing "Acadian Driftwood."

No love for the Stones' "Love In Vain?" Originally done by Robert Johnson.

Duran Duran's version of White Lines ain't bad, but is it technically a cover if it features the original group?

    Without a doubt.
