Great stuff in USA Today this morning

    I don't recall hearing the original story about the crash, but this side of it is powerful.

    Erik, God bless him, is a great writer. It's just funny to me how damned near everything he writes has some Buffalo angle. He went to Canisius.

    That's a very nice story, without a lot of the literary tricks and gymnastics many use in such stories. Straightforwazrd, Buffalo-style.

    I remember those $1 Bills games on Saturday nights early in the NFL era. The first two or three Bills teams trained in my hometown, at the Knox Bros. polo fields.
