    Cal McLish was a pitcher for several teams in the 1940s, 50s and 60s. His full name was Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish.

    Not a person but a bike. The bikes Team Telecom rode were made by Giant. Take the German word team is mannschaft. Therefore, you have Giant Mannschaft.
    It would suck being the unlucky guy who has to make the commercial in English. "For a long hard ride, I enjoy straddling a Giant Mannschaft."
