Never had to deal with PGE, thankfully. Not that Edison is any better. What a fucking clown show.

Two of those (24/680 interchange) burning very close to my father-in-law's former house and the church where we were married. Stay safe, friends.

Photos of the fire burning on the peninsula underneath the Carquinez Bridge are amazing and horrifying. Especially when you consider the Chevron refinery is right across the strait in Hercules.

Appreciate your electricity; 36 hrs and counting and life’s pretty lame without it. Terrible cell service too so can’t stream anything to laptop; no wifi; watching DVDs that run out of episodes then try a slow movie (Paterson). Whoa three naps and asleep by 11. Plus it’s cold with no heat (electric ignition on gas system).

Books and pen lights? Could crush a whole series.

I had already read for a couple of hours earlier in the day (The Witch Elm by Tana French; very good). Being in the dark and cold, sleep calls me.
