    From his upcoming book:

I doubt he's the first one to ever do this.

Why admit the fraud? Has the statute of limitations passed on the Steelers suing him?

  5. I was surprised/disappointed in his belief that management ran Kordell Stewart out of town.
    It was interesting and surprising.

I have a feeling they're OK with it.

Yeah, because keeping him worked out so badly for the Steelers. ::)

Did y'all read the part of the story that said, factually, he was full of shit since the only guy who could have beatgen him out was injured himself.

A former NFL kicker once told me that guys who are pretty sure they are about to get cut in training camp will actually try to get injured so the team can't dump them. If they see a lineman toppling over they'll stick a leg out to try to rip something in the knee. The team either has to keep them or - far more likely - reach an injury settlement.

  11. There's yet another reason I'll never be a professional athlete. I don't think I could convince my body to get into a situation with the intent of tearing up my knee.

Hmmm ... it was in the story I read on the Trib's Web site.
