His David Stern-like approach may hurt him in the future.

Pete Rozelle, faceless? Please. He was a PR guy first and foremost and got more credit for the success of the league than anyone.

    Pointless drivel.

    What did that say?

Can't see what the fuss is about, Big Chee.

Did employees of the Big Three go cutting people with raw sheet metal?
Go on the attack with stampers?
Attempt to smash a rear window on the back of a fellow employee's head?
Wield a gun on the assembly line?

Roger Goodell's role is entirely different from the ones of the Big Three CEOs. He's not asking for handout to cover the NFL's blunders, and unlike David Stern, he's helping the league better own up to its errors.

When have you seen David Stern stand up for anything, especially if it ruins the sales of jerseys and T-shirts?
