How else do you explain Gold Medals being awarded to Icehouse, Hamm's and Lone Star ...

You forgot to mention that Old Milwaukee Light won, as well.

How they could snub Falstaff, Stag and Olympia, I have no idea.

I was expecting to see Steel Reserve won at least a Bronze.

    Was Keystone Light robbed again?

You have enough categories and you're bound to win something. I've had a lot of "medal-winning" beers from the GABF and I've always wondered about the judging. I've noticed a cutback in the number of new beers being put out by microbreweries and I think most figure once you've won a medal with a recipe its not worth it to enter the GABF again. The absence of Rogue tells you pretty much all you need to know. Their beer rocks and if they don't win it says more about the contest than about Rogue.

And Pabst Blue Ribbon Light took second, ahead of Coors Light.

I didn't even know they still made Pabst Light.

I was giving one of my part-timers shit about that tonight, because he drinks Coors Light. I told him I'll fill 12 cans with warm bath water, it would taste better than Coors Light.

I can't imagine even trying to drink a Pabst anything right now -- and I grew up on the stuff. The last time a tried a Pabst was two years ago while we were all drinking Genuine Draft. The Pabst tasted so God-awful I dumped it.
