Grammys? Who cares? Country radio still hates the Chicks!

After hearing her drop the wisdom of Nelson Muntz, I heart Natalie Maines.

He's still around. Z-100 in NYC, I think.

Little-known fact: If you turn Z-100 upside down and sideways, it reads SUCKS.

What I'm wondering is why does it matter what the Dixie Chicks said? Either you like their music or you don't. If you let their political statement interfere with your music listening, you probably have issues that go beyond the Dixie Chicks.

Yes. Next thing they'll be doing is attempting to force legislation on radio stations to play what the listeners don't want to hear.

But that's liberalism....that can't relate to capitalistic endeavors. If liberals really gave a shit about the Chicks, they'd open their own stations.

All talk, nothing else. The liberal way.

Or maybe liberals realize that it's part of the give and take with free speech and know ClearChannel and whoever else is within their right not to play certain artists, if they so feel like it.

I used to think that only toothless, white, uneducated, bible-thumpers with hateful agendas listen to country music.

Then I discovered the contents of my college-educated, atheist, environmentalist, Hillary-supporting roommate's CD case.

You're not what you listen to, you're what you believe. Which, in fact, is quite a bit more unsettling.

I'm now convinced that Yawn is a hard-up 13-year-old hoping to impress others with his politi-speak and banging of the table with his fist.

How is country radio like a ShopVac? It has two modes: suck and blow.

Fuckabuncha country radio. I can come up with a better country station on iTunes.

EDIT: Tony Lama? Dude oughta pay a fee to the bootmaker.

Carrie Underwood? You mean "bland pop with a steel guitar thrown in in a cynical attempt to make money," don't you?

If they truly believe what Maines articulated during that London concert, why did they issue an apology?

And Tony Lama would be a better named if he spelled it with two L's
