Government Threatened Foley Family Over Ransom Payments

    Is anyone saying they would feel differently?

    And, isn't that part of the reason why is has to be law/policy?

    This isn't exactly a new dymanic: "My selfish needs supersede the greater good."

    It's why a typical parent who rails against drunk drivers and demands the most strict punishments will do a 180 and bend over backward to see that their DUI-charged child receives the most lenient treatment.

    "When it comes to my child/family/etc. . . . " nothing else matters. Law and justice be damned. Yawn.

    Makes you wonder how Theo Peter Curtis' release was arranged:

    I'm guessing the leverage was a couple of million bucks from Qatar, but no one seems very interested in asking the question.
