Call me clueless, but why does being an SDSU grad make one anti-Corso?

Yeah, I'm a little confused as well. Are you saying Corso cost Marshall Faulk the Heisman?

I disagree. Eric Crouch over Rex Grossman was worse.

There is no winner among those two.

Jason White just called me from the break room at Wal Mart and said "no so fast my friends."

The difference between Jason White, Eric Crouch & Gino Toretta is that the first two were very, very good college players the year they won the Heisman.

Toretta wasn't even the best player in Florida the year he won.

I think I might agree with that, but I'm still not clear why that's Lee Corso's fault. I take it he must've advocated Toretta's case, but he has no control over the Heisman voters. Let it go, Aztec fans.

... and Antwaan Randle El, who was an option QB (like Crouch) who had pretty much double Crouch's numbers, yet never got consideration because he played on a team whose defense gave up about 90 points a game the first half of that season and didn't get into a bowl.

Grossman probably should've been the Heisman winner that year, but there's no way Crouch should've been ahead of Randle El. It wasn't his fault Indiana didn't have a defense. Heck, he was the punter, returned punts, lined up on the hands team ...
