As the cruiser headed north on Hurontario St., the accused rolled onto his back and began kicking the the rear passenger side window. He managed to shatter the glass.

"He then sat up and while the cruiser was still in motion, exited the cruiser head first through the rear passenger side window," Bryer said.

The female police officer driving the car stopped the cruiser just south of Burnhamthorpe Rd. and found the accused, handcuffed, lying in the middle of the northbound lane of Hurontario.
