They're playing the Yankees and Red Sox on Opening Day so they get to be on ESPN! Congrats!

[blue]I'm sure ESPN picked those games because of all the young talent on the Royals and Devil Rays

You know the old adage...early in the spring, large market teams are always ahead of the small market teams...

Oh thank god, I was afraid we were actually going to go 36 hours without the Yankees or Red Sox on ESPN. ::)

As a huge baseball fan, I think it's nice that ESPN has finally decided to pay some attention to farm-team scrimmages.

I thought the good news was going to be the Royals and D-Rays seasons were cancelled .. kind of an advance mercy rule.

Fuck no. The Yankees spent $200 million on that roster.

They have to have someone to beat up on...

ESPN is all about showcasing Gil Meche to see if he's really worth $55 million.

Royals actually won the season series with the Red Sox last season, 5-4, despite six games being at Fenway. Just saying.

Being on vacation and all, I may not get a ticket to the opener. But methinks tickets for Thursday afternoon's Dice-K vs. Grienke showdown won't be hard to come by.

The Yanks 5-game sweep of the Sox probably did the Beaneaters in last year. But KC's 3-game sweep shortly afterward was the first shovel of dirt on the coffin.
