I'm told this is indeed true. Good news indeed.

My guess is it's to fill Brett McMurphy's spot. He's now with AOL/Fanhouse.

Hallelujah! Now if someone would hire Carter Gaddis life would be good. (And no, I'm not Carter and I don't know him... great baseball writer, though.)

Good news continues - paper IS going to fill spot left vacant when baseball writer Marc Lancaster moved to D.C. after his wife got a job there.

I know in this day and age you can't hold grudges, but after the way Scott was treated when he was let go, I would imagine that even the most forgiving person on the planet would have a hard time looking some of the higher-ups at the Tribune in the eyes without masking his disgust.

I barely know Scott, but that layoff story was one of the worst I've ever heard.

You do what they did in Ally McBeal. You say "bygones" and move on. They needed a great writer/reporter. He needed a job. Shit was then, this is now.

  10. OUTSTANDING FREAKIN' NEWS!!!!

I'm so happy for Scott, way to go man. I'll enjoy a Perdomo Habano in your honor sir.

Congrats to Brett too. Is Brett still covering USF for AOL?

Brett is covering the Big East as a whole for AOL.

  12. Great for Brett

Those covering Big East at papers and what not, Brett will know what goes on in the Big East before the Big East knows whats going on.
