    The bad news . . .

I came across this at the bookstore today.

Shouldn't there be SOME professions that, while ethically challenged, we can have some confidence that it won't have DUMMIES? Should a dummy really be taking the LSAT?

    The good news . . .

I have not seen "MCAT for Dummies" anywhere.

There are plenty of dummies who have already been through law school.

As a member of said profession, I can assure you that it has far more than its fair share of dummies.

Not to mention all the pricks.

Exactly. Idiotic brain-dead judges all were lawyers first, remember.

I'm on the crime and courts beat. I have seen my fair share of unintelligent lawyers. There are some pretty shady lawyers, too.

some of the dumbest, least-prepared people I have seen in a workplace were lawyers.

Then again, I've seen some crime and courts reporters who were about as sharp as 25-year-old butter knives.

I could post the pic of a Pittsburgh-area lawyer, who as soon as you see him standing next to his client on TV, you automatically assume the client just HAS to be guilty.
Pittsburghers, I bet you know who I am talking about.

Oh, don't get us wrong, we know there are stupid journalists out there too. Eventually they become managing editors and publishers.

I like to think most of the stupid publishers come from advertising.
