An old friend from the paper showed up at our game last night and we were chatting about this and that.
He noted that Media General's stock had fallen from 4 to 2.96 yesterday.
As I type this, it sits at 2.11.

Good lord. I recall (fondly) when it was over 100.

    2.11??

This is worse than I thought and I wonder if there's any way possible for it to get better.

    2.11??

    Gold Lord?

And I saw on Poynter that McClatchy stock had dropped to a point where toilet paper is now more valuable.

    I was so stunned I couldn't type.
It rallied to 2.19 while I was typing.

Isn't that what the experts call a buying opportunity?

That's it, I'm winning the lottery and buying the company.

You can do that now with a $1,000 scratch off winner.

$2.11 a share? That's $2.10 more than Journal Register stock is worth.

Closing bell: $1.52 per share. That was actually up 1 cent today. It's up another cent in after-hours trading.
