An appropriate image: "Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here!"

Also, my ex-boss and her husband were hosting some French historians a few years back and they went to a local restaurant and saw the French Dip sandwich on the menu. They started giggling because apparently, in French, "au jus" means "with bodily fluids."

We're talking cream gravy, of course. Real gravy. Not that shit you have once a year at Thanksgiving.

    I've never had "cream gravy".

Chipped beef gravy is the best gravy.

About four tablespoons of grease in a medium-hot skillet; bacon grease works well for this. Four (or so) tablespoons of flour mixed into the hot grease until it bubbles and sort of dissolves. Milk or cream, a cup more or less. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir frequently until it reaches the consistency you want, either thick or thin. Serve hot.

There's your cream gravy. Also more commonly known as white gravy.

    Enjoy.

I used to gorge on all-you-can-eat biscuits and gravy at Burger King. Wonder if they still have that.
