    The golf industry is like the diet industry. Both of them are constantly introducing new miracle products that will lower your score/weight instantly.

    If you're neither a virgin, nor hopeless, Gary McCord's Golf For Dummies (widely available for around $14) is quite helpful in terms of reminding you of certain
    telling details which may slip your mind, from time to time.

    A lesson or two from an honest pro who's not looking to milk you like a psychiatrist can be an enormous aid.
