    Minor threadjack...

    SI used to do a monthly section called "SI Adventure," with coverage of climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, etc. Austin Murphy had a column in it. I really enjoyed that. But it stopped.

    yeah i liked SI adventure - and especially murphy's column, except for his shameless ass kissing of lance armstrong - but until you mentioned it, i didn't even realize it had been discontinued. i guess i didn't love it that much. fwiw, i recently signed up for something like SI fantasy plus which is supposed to be a special section in my magazine each week. not sure if it'll be useful or not but it's free for subscribers to add.
