And Slumdog Millionaire takes home the Best Film - Drama award.

Will it fare like Babel did last year at the Oscars? Hope not.

Saw that. Just in time for the last minute of the show. Someone is in big trouble.

It isn't the first time. I don't remember who was presenting an award, maybe Emma Thompson? and they bleeped something out. When they put the camera back on her, it looked like she had either fallen over or nearly fallen over while her co-presenter was speaking.

Wow. Especially her second trip up.... was as uncomfortable and long as Clinton at the 88 Convention.

So happy for Rourke. Not that he's done a lot to engender sympathy in the past 20 years, but damned if that wasn't an absolute all-time performance. Screw all the people who will say he'll win stuff because Hollywood loves a comeback story. He's winning because that performance ruled, and would have ruled for anyone, any time, no matter their circumstances.

As someone who recently found himself needing a career restart, I say god bless that old beaten fuckup.

Last year the big winner was No Country for Old Men, Babel was two years ago, lost to The Departed.
I'm really happy for Slumdog. People will see Benjamin Button because of Pitt, Slumdog needs the pub.
