Going to Vegas. Suggestions?

Where were these good eats you speak of?

I will continue to rally against old Vegas. The Nuggett is nice, but there are hotels on the strip, like Flamingo that are just as old.

There are cheap meals in new Vegas too, and cheap casinos with cheap gambling. To me, Old Vegas was not worth the cab ride. None of the casinos out there had good promotions either.

Planning on a return trip to Vegas myself in December. Couple suggestions from my trip last summer:

    1. Get Anthony Curtis' Las Vegas Adviser book. It's $37 but well worth it. Some incredible deals in that book.

    2. Go see a Vinnie Favorito show. He used to be at O'Shea's and now I think he's at Paris. I had never laughed so hard in my life. He was so funny my wife and I nearly went back to see him a second time since every show is supposed to be different.

Don't go near that Fremont Street area unless you are really just looking for cheap food and cheap gambling. It's dumpy and you'll be hanging out with a lot of 70 year olds blowing their social security checks.

    Advice:
If someone tries to sell you Danny Gans tickets, even if they are really cheap, politely pass on the offer.

You sure that's not the '07 card from the updated set, after she switched teams?

Good eats? The Cal Club has good food, Downtown.
Especially the Hawaiian place where the shops are (second floor?).

I demand a report. Did you go to the Double Down?

Actually, I'm not going until July. I've taken the suggestions down and trying to list the places I definitely want to see, though. Thanks to everyone for the input.

I'll second the Imperial Palace auto collection. Good timewaster.

Is Slots-A-Fun still there? Does it still have the coldest beer on the strip?

What's up with the time-wasting suggestions?
