Saw Carrott Top three times and he was funny as hell. If you go to Ellis Island for the steak deal, you have to ask for it. It's not on the menu. There's also a little casino (Golden Gate???) behind New York New York on the other side of the expressway that has a $1.49 breakfast special. Two eggs, two pieces of sausage or bacon, toast and hash browns. Again, not on the menu. You can find these things as lasvegasinsider.com. Do not go to Vegas before checking that Web site. And I used to love downtown but it was a waste of time when I went last time. As for the Hooters free slots, I played for at least a half-hour before I finally used all my credits. I won a grand on video blackjack at a seedy little strip joint behind Ballys near Ellis Island. I think it's on Flamingo.

Darling Joe and I won about $1,500 last time we were on Fremont. Not a waste of our time by any means. Just sayin'. 8)

I prefer that view at night, when the tour helicopters are flying below you.

I second the Hash House A Go Go recommendation - outstanding breakfast choice. I also strongly recommend looking up TC's Rib Crib. It's got terrific food at a third of the price of the fancy BBQ places they have at some of the casinos. If you enjoy German food and atmosphere, try the Hofbrauhaus.

The best sports bar in town is the Hilton Superbook - everything you could possibly want to wager on and a seperate entrance from the casino so it's easy to get in and out. Haven't been to every dancing estabishment but have never been disappointed with the scenery at Club Paradise.

Fremont was the only place I lost when I was there in March.

I also ate at Fitzgeralds, the food reminded me of Vegas Vacation.

"That's not chicken, this is chicken. That's beef."

There's also a half price show ticket stand at Bill's.

Easy to waste a half a day. Starting at the north end of the Strip and working your way south . . .

    * go to the top of the Stratosphere
    * have a cocktail at the bar on the lower level of the curved escalators at the Wynn. (I think there are only two curved escalators in the entire country.)
    * car collection at the Imperial Palace

There are a couple of other stops that I can't think of at the moment.

Three great suggestions. If you go ont he strip, check out the Bellagio. Most beautiful women stroll through there and the fountain show ain't bad either.
Go to old Vegas. Good gambling. Good eats. Good fun.
    Bring lots of money.
    Bring protection.
Have fun and let us know how you make out.

Don't forget to call the numbers on those "business cards" being handed out along the strip.

Not fun to do in the middle of July. Bring an extra change of clothes ... or a squeegee.

I've got an Alexis rookie card from 2001. Wanna trade for Amber's rookie card, plus the 2004 All-Star team?
