I got snowed in during a trip to Dallas this month because we got 18 inches in one day at home. Dallas was fine but we couldn't land here.

I understand it's really unusual, and no one is accustomed to it.
    But still seems silly.

If what's happening in Atlanta is anything like normal in the South, they got ice first and then snow. It's that base layer of ice that Fs things up at first. And the lack of snowplows.

Hawks game is postponed for tonight. 85 is still at a dead stop down by the airport ... news just said a trailer truck is 1 mile from the airport and probably won't make it today.

Chipper Jones rescued Freddie Freeman with his four-wheeler.

    That seals it, Chipper's a first-ballot HOFer.

As for the gridlock, there were several factors. The Governor and Atlanta Mayor are getting skewered in a press conference right now.

Didn't DC's Mayor Marion Barry get skewered about snow once?

State and city government officials insist they were prepared, but if they didn't consider having Berry come and snort up all the snow, I'd label that a stone unturned ...
