Godfather, Ps. I and II alert

    The book does not make it sound like Johnny is Vito's son. That's a new one for me.

    That comes later. And that's a great scene, too. Especially against the backdrop of being at the Presidential palace the night Batista is overthrown.
     
  2. Is the "Godfather: Part III" really that bad? I've only seen the first two, and I love the book. What is wrong with the third film?

    Godfather III isn't necessarily the Fredo of the series. Rather, it's just that it seriously pales in comparison to the others.

    Also, Sophia Coppola, while she's drop dead gorgeous and a solid director, couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.

    Trust me when I tell you that III is horrible.

    It isn't the worst film ever made, but it simply isn't anywhere close to the other two.

    III's biggest problem is that it's not I or II.

    It's a mediocre movie following two of the greatest movies ever made.
