If you own more than 5 nonporn DVDs and the Godfather I & II is not in your collection, please don't leave Mom's basement

    If Chazp wrote The Godfather:

Clemenza: Leave the gun, take the canolli.

    Henchman: LOL!

My two favorite movies ever. But the Godfather Saga is the way to watch them. It was on USA or Bravo or something last week. Coppola recut the movies to add deleted scenes and they're in chronological order. I wish you could get them on DVD but I think they're only available on VHS, and then I think you'd have to guy them used.

    I disagree.

The Godfather Saga was a cynical cut and paste job that he did (and not his idea) to raise money for Apocalypse Now.

    Artistically it was pure hackery.

I've seen both versions... Both are brilliant... Godfather III sucks no matter how you recut it...

Sorry, the Godfather saga offends me for aesthetic reasons.

It's butchering two brilliant movies to come up with a mediocre made for TV event.

But I agree about Godfather 3. Barely watchable.

I wouldn't say he butchered the movies. He just presented them differently. I guess one of the reasons I like the Saga is because I've seen both movies at least 100 times apiece (seriously) so it's a something different once in a while. I also liked a lot of the deleted scenes.

I love GF I and II. GF III doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned.

The only bad thing is AMC shows way too many commercials. I wish it was commercial-free again.
