I think the entire show was summed up in the final sentence of the show.

Larry: ".... Paris Hilton. Tomorrow night, I'll talk to Colin Powell."

It what kind of sick and twisted world does Paris trump Powell?

The end of the world is near.

 

That's why I admire people like George Clooney and Angelina Jolie and others who realize they can use their celebrity to focus attention on real issues that don't get. The only coverage of Darfur I saw on Wolf Blitzer's show was when Clooney came on.

 

That's more of an indictment of Blitzer -- or his producers, or Jonathan Klein, or CNN in general -- than it is a real feather in Clooney's cap. Though Clooney does deserve some credit.
