I'm trying to think of another quarterback who was in the league for 10 years and passed for fewer than 2,000 yards for his career.

Even Doug Pederson has more than that.

How long did Tom Tupa last in the NFL?

Tom Tupa had a 2,000-yard season once.

Yeah, just looked it up. One season of over 2,00 yards, but only 3,400 for his career.

Tony Romo just dropped a glass in the kitchen, and doesn't know why.

I would have said David Humm, but he was only in the league 7 years (with fewer than 800 yards passing total). I remember him from the Punt Pass & Kick info brochure that they gave kids back in the late '70s (he and Dave Dalby) because IIRC Erroll Mann was the guy they used to explain kicking technique (both "conventional" and "soccer style"). I didn't get far. Too bad -- I would have loved to take the field at SB XIII in a Lions uni.

Jason Garrett comes close (8 years, 2,042 yards).

Jim Sorgi would've gotten there if he'd hung on (6 years, 929 yards).

If you're going to discuss this seriously, Danny White has to be in the conversation. He was a triple threat as holder, punter and QB.

If you think you can seriously evaluate the greatest PK holder of all time, you have a screw loose.

That's rich coming from the curator of The Poin Files.

Montana played all 16 games as a rookie because he was the holder. He might have been the holder his entire second season, too.
