Ah, I've come to discover that for all the PC panting the newspapers do, they take little action in cases like this.

Last year, a paper had an illustration -- unmarked as an illustration -- with the school's point guard silhouetted and the headline "HANGIN' 11." Nothing was done.

If that can get through, anything can.

Ah, there you go... a black coach crediting the Lord on the field. That will get some people in here whipped up....

Oh and heavens, Lovie Smith is the same way. My God, they might both have a feature this week on Pat Robertson's 700 club.

Yes, but was it a major metro (not that should make it right).

It was smaller than this paper.

  7. Why not just name the paper? It was the Champaign News-Gazette, right?

    Is that a rhetorical question?

  9. No, a direct one. I remember the front to which you're referring.

The black coaches story line is certainly legitimate, but I hope that doesn't get in the way of analyzing all the other attributes that make Smith and Dungy good coaches and better people.

Go White Quarterbacks! Way to reaffirm your dominance!

(Sounds kind of silly, doesn't it?)

Except for Rex Grossman. Wow, he sucks. [/bandwagonjumpers]
