    My god, get the stick out of your ass.

    They're only anonymous sources to the readers. I'm 99.9999 percent sure at least one editor at the NYDN knows who said sources are. It's not like I could just walk in there and write 'sources say' without someone checking on it.

    Plus, I'm also willing to bet this was looked at VERY closely by the lawyers.

    Jeez. Michael Jordan, Monica Lewinsky, Roger Clemens and a cigar? You can't invent that.

    Why didn't they just throw in two midgets, O.J. Simpson, Pee Wee Herman, Elliot Spitzer and Walter Cronkite and have them playing ring-around-the-rosie around a stripper's pole?

    It goes to Clemens' credibility. It wasn't relative, until he filed a civil suit. The discovery process ought to be a hoot.

    This is from Richard Emery, McNamee's lawyer:
    "He brought it on by putting his reputation at issue," Emery told The News. "He can't cabin off his reputation with respect to the use of steroids from the rest of his reputation. If he has a reputation as a cheater, liar, philanderer, his damages are lessened."
