    Well-timed, given the recent news that so far, 2006 has been the warmest year on record in the continental United States.

    During the first hour, they showed scientists cutting into core ice drilled from deep within the polar ice caps. From the gasses trapped within the ice, they could tell CO2 levels are at the highest in the past 600,000 years.
